Morgan was born on May 16, 1981, in London, but grew up in Swansea for 11 years. He is the oldest child in the family. Morriston Comprehensive School was his alma mater. After that, a BTEC Performing Arts programme at Gorseinon College (now Gower College Swansea). In his late teens, he returned to London to study at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
In the first season of Sky One’s Hex, Morgan portrayed Troy. In addition, he has been in films such as Alexander and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, as well as the BBC Two television series The Line of Beauty.
